Algomergent Labs

Smart home & building automation

Buildings that think along with you

Lighting, heating, shading, doors, cameras and energy, all in one system that is easy to use. We plan the concept and the network, program the system and look after it for years.

How it works

Access control in practice

The cleaning service arrives on Tuesday morning. No key changes hands, and you can see every entry.

  1. 1Badge held to the reader
  2. 2Permission checked
  3. 3Door unlocks
  4. 4Hallway light switches on
  5. 5Alarm disarmed
  6. 6Entry logged

What we do

Lighting & scenes

Dimmable light in every room, scenes such as "Dinner" or "Cinema", motion sensors in corridors and lights that follow the time of day.

Heating, cooling & ventilation

Room-by-room temperature, schedules, eco mode when nobody is home, and control of heat pumps, underfloor heating and ventilation.

Blinds & shading

Blinds and awnings that move with the sun, protect against heat in summer and retract automatically in strong wind.

Access control

Doors, gates and garages open by badge, code, smartphone or fingerprint, with time windows for staff, cleaners or guests.

Video intercom, cameras & alarm

See who is at the door on your phone, open remotely, cameras around the property and an alarm system linked to everything else.

Energy management

Solar panels, battery, heat pump and EV charger working together, so you use more of your own power and see your consumption live.

Network & Wi-Fi

The foundation of every smart building: structured cabling, fast Wi-Fi in every room and separate networks for devices, cameras and guests.

Multi-room audio & media

Music in every room or the garden, controlled from the app, and home cinemas that start with one button.

One app & voice control

Everything in one app, on wall panels and by voice. With notifications when a window is open, water leaks or someone rings.

Explained briefly

The most important terms, without jargon.

Access control
A system that decides who may enter which door, and when. Instead of keys, people use a badge, a PIN code, their smartphone or a fingerprint. Every entry is logged, lost badges are blocked in seconds, and access can be limited, for example the cleaner only on Tuesdays from 9 to 12.
KNX (wired bus system)
An international standard for building automation. All switches, sensors and actuators share one control cable. It is very reliable, independent of any single manufacturer and ideal for new builds and full renovations.
Wireless systems (Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter)
Devices that communicate by radio. Perfect for retrofits in existing homes and apartments, because walls do not need to be opened.
Scenes
One button or one event triggers several actions. "Leaving home" switches off all lights, lowers the blinds, arms the alarm and turns the heating to eco mode.
Video intercom
The doorbell with camera. You see and talk to visitors on your phone or a wall panel, wherever you are, and open the door if you want to.
Local first
The control unit runs in your building, not in a cloud. Light switches and heating keep working even if the internet is down; remote access is an addition, not a requirement.

Examples

Typical situations and what we would build for them.

Villa

The whole house in one system

A new build or full renovation, where everything is planned together from the start.

  • KNX backbone with lighting scenes in every room
  • Room-by-room climate, heat pump and ventilation
  • Blinds with weather station and wind protection
  • Gate, garage and front door by smartphone or code
  • Video intercom, cameras around the property and alarm
  • Solar, battery and EV charger with energy management
  • Pool, sauna and garden irrigation on schedules
  • Holiday mode that simulates presence
Apartment

Smart without opening walls

An existing apartment that should become more comfortable and secure, without construction work.

  • Wireless switches, dimmers and thermostats
  • Smart door lock with codes for family and guests
  • Water leak and window sensors with alerts
  • Everything in one app, controllable by voice
Office

Access, climate and meeting rooms

An office where people come and go, rooms are booked and energy is wasted after hours.

  • Badge access with time profiles per employee
  • Meeting rooms with booking, light and climate on presence
  • Visitor management with temporary codes
  • Everything switches to saving mode after hours
Apartment building & commercial

Digital keys and central monitoring

Many tenants, shared spaces and technical systems that should be monitored centrally.

  • Digital access for tenants instead of physical keys
  • Lighting in stairwells and garages on demand
  • Energy metering per unit
  • Remote monitoring of heating and technical rooms

How we work

  1. 01

    Needs analysis

We go through your plans or the existing building with you: which rooms, which functions, which comfort level, which budget.

  2. 02

    Concept & planning

You receive a concept with functions per room, device list, cabling plan and network design, plus a quote with a fixed price or cost ceiling.

  3. 03

    Network as the foundation

Structured cabling, a tidy network cabinet, switches with power over ethernet, Wi-Fi access points and separate networks for devices, cameras and guests.

  4. 04

    Control unit & programming

We set up the local control unit, program functions, scenes and the app, and connect all systems.

  5. 05

    Handover & training

Everything is tested room by room. You and your family or team get a training and a clear documentation.

  6. 06

    Maintenance

Updates, backups of the configuration, remote support and extensions when your needs change.

Electrical work on site

We take care of planning, network, programming and support. The electrical installation itself is carried out by your electrician or a licensed partner company on site, following our plans. We coordinate with them so that everything fits.
