The most important terms, without jargon.
- Workflow automation
- A fixed rule replaces a manual task: "When X happens, do Y." For example: when an order arrives, create the invoice, update the stock and inform the warehouse.
- AI assistant (language model)
- Software that understands and writes text. It can answer questions, summarise documents, draft emails or extract information from unstructured text.
- Assistant with your company knowledge
- The AI answers based on your own documents, such as manuals, price lists or internal guidelines, instead of general knowledge. This makes the answers specific and reliable.
- Human in the loop
- Automation prepares the work, a person approves the important steps. For example: the AI drafts the reply, an employee checks and sends it.
